The purpose of this workspace is to share thoughts and information relevant to the Community Renewables Champions course in the North East of England 2009.
The course we are attending is organised by Community Renewable Energy Ltd (CoRE), however, this wiki is entirely separate to the CoRE organisation and the the content of this wiki does not represent the thoughts or opinions of CoRE. To view the CoRE website click on the link below.
Hello there,
I have created this space to allow my fellow course participants to share any interesting websites or ideas in an online form rather than traditional emails which IMHO are less likely to be at hand when we need them in the future.
I have found the course to be excellent so far, it has already given me ideas for further development, clarified my understanding of the related technologies and I am very much looking forward to our next session.
Please feel free to edit any pages (I can also create a page for each participant), like any page the sidebar over to the right can also be edited (just click "EDIT" at top of page, then click "SAVE" when your done) Files and photos can be uploaded, photos should be about 400 Pixels wide and where a file exists somewhere else on the net -just paste in the link rather than the file itself (as this free wiki has limited memory space).
This wiki is currently public-to-view, however, only those who are invited are able to edit, please only contribute information suitable for the public domain. If you want to invite someone to view or edit this wiki-type their email address into the "Share this workspace" box to the right (select level of share and only give "writer" authority to trusted contacts) -Wikis are fun, please enjoy.
Hats off to CoRE! - speak soon - Alex Finnegan, course 1, Oct 2009
Here is another example of a wiki I have created for my boat-building project.

Plan to Launch Our Workspace
- Edit this page by clicking "Edit" above.
- Write a quick explanation of why you're using this workspace, so others will know what to do when they arrive.
- Rewrite these instructions to fit your organization! Add as much detail as possible - ask specific people to create pages and add content.
- Watch the Getting Started video. Invest 5 minutes, save hours in productivity each week.
- Invite two colleagues to this workspace. Just enter their email addresses on the right side of this page.
- Ask each colleague to create a page for their department, and list what their current projects are.
- Send an email to the company announcing the workspace.
Note: Don't worry if this PBworks workspace doesn't take off quickly or slows down after an initial spike -- this is normal! Keep people excited by showing them the usefulness of PBworks.

Nice one Alex. I too have found the course pretty damn fine! It's exploded loads of misunderstandings I seem to have collected over the years - and given me many new things to think about.
Enjoyign all of your company too!
Great stuff
